Maybe I am having a moment here but here goes anyways. I own a 2014 Ram 1500. Just had a new Fob programmed like a week ago. When I drive my truck, after a certain speed, all 4 doors are supposed to lock, correct? Now, are they supposed to be locked from inside or just the outside? I noticed the master switch when I press "Lock", it is locking all the doors but from the inside, when I am driving along, I can open the doors still. Is that like a safety feature so incase of a roll over or something, that the occupants can get out from the inside, even though they are locked? So I guess what I am asking is, would all 4 doors be locked from the outside but can be opened from the inside, even when they are locked? Never really noticed whether its been like that all along or not.

That’s how mine is. The doors are locked but can be opened from inside the truck. I’ve owned a few Fords that were the same way.

The auto lock is adjustable as far as speed, I think on my 16 it can be set to on or off and lock when put in gear, etc. On my 16 it is done via the radio.

You can open the front doors from the inside, the rear doors should have child safety locks (I don't have small kids so I haven't looked - but that is how most are).

These rear child safety locks can be turned on or off - so that you can either open the door when locked from the inside or not be able to open the locked door from the inside. Usually there is a little lever by the door latch that you can see when you open the door.

Again, I haven't looked on my 16 Ram, but all my other mopars are like this.
