Have 2019 ram 1500, basic non sxm radio. Had some installed right after purchase. Want to install a navos 12.1 inch t style "plug and play" radio. Has anyone installed one or know of any glitches that may occur? This one has wiring harnesses that the oem vehicle wiring harness plugs into.

Do you have the "classic" Ram, doesn't have the 1500 on the hood? You should check 4th gen, there is discussion on installing the 12 inch system there.

Ya, I figured that out but not much info. I had a 2017 with remote start, 8.4 radio, etc but a semi took it out.

Usually when you install an aftermarket radio
you have to set certain settings with the steering wheel controls
unless the replacement radio comes with the steering wheel harness

The steering wheel controls go over a communications buss, there's no specific harness for the steering wheel. Aftermarket radios usually need a data interface link to talk to the factory steering wheel controls along with the HVAC and vehicle controls
