Where should I start. And for anyone choosing to come at me for venting in this public manner I say get back in your lane. I've already tried doing this behind the scenes. It got me hung up on 3 times between 9:50A and 9:59 AM. I was not cursing, I was not abusive... was I animated and I was likely talking louder than I otherwise do on any phone call. I think that was full appropriate given the runaround i've been getting and the dismissive regard in which my concerns are being addressed (well, not addressed). I have been without the use of my truck for very nearly a month. My "sealed" lifetime transmission is leaking fluid. Because it is "sealed" and there is no user accessible level or fill port I have not been driving it, so as to prevent causing any catastrophic which Ram could later palm off on me. I took the truck in after waiting 10 days (earliest appointment. They called me to say it was done. I picked it up drove home only to find it still leaking the next day.

I am still under extended warranty. I paid just under 6K for this warranty and it is an extension of the bumper to bumper coverage Mopar offers from new (The truck was bought new at the dealer. The dealer is now trying to say that the vehicle just needs its fluids changed, as if that somehow negates the fact that a seal or gasket or some other mechanical misfunction is not at play for a leak in the "sealed system" When I got annoyed that Ram Cares is only now telling me I have to make another appointment, on my own (however long that may take) after being without the truck for nearly a month. The "Representative" hung up on me. I called back 3 times and each time I was hung up on. On a separate note, I will be doing my best to find out this persons name and have them reprimanded. I was in public service for 30 years. That simply does not fly.

There are a bunch of intermediate happenings in the midst of all of this affair. Where I have always been a stalwart supporter of the Mopar warranty, I have grave concerns this portends to changes that do not support that continued loyalty.

Ram cares... I challenge you to prove me wrong and live up to your name. Show that someone there actually cares... or at least gets it.

Ram Cares is useless. There job is to handle you by telling you that your case is a priority to make you feel like something is happening but that's the extent of their authority. They do not control anything at the dealer, nor do they have any sway with them. They are an Indian call center that exists entirely for PR and social media.

If you want anything done beyond what your dealership is doing, you'll need to either go to another dealership that's less stupid and more honest, or contact the executive staff.

I have had a couple of cases where the RAM cares eventually did help me with some issues. Its not really speedy, but it did bear fruit for me. As I have had 3 major warranty repairs done, most of which took over a month to complete, it is what it is at this point. Perhaps you should go to another dealer?

I don't have a horse in this race, but I think RamCares might be outsourced to the other side of the world.

That said, some have had them be very useful with helping get solutions to their issues.

OP, all I can say is document as much as you can about your issues, and try to keep your cool as much as possible.

When they looked at it, what exactly did they do? Are you experiencing shifting issues? Do you have ay idea how bad the leak is, or the general idea where it's coming from?

@RamCares, @Sinistre1 needs your help.

I would bring it into the dealership and let them diagnose the leak. If it’s the selling dealership that sold you the vehicle, even better. Read your warranty to know your position. I would casually discuss to see if the repair is consistent with your warranty. Don’t argue. Let them do the work and pay with your credit card. You can withhold the payment as a dispute and call ramcares or lawyer or whoever. It may make the dealer see it your way and write it up as a warranty coveted repair.

I also have the extended warranty. Service guy said my next oil change will be $140 because they are also changing differential fluids or something like that.

I have ZERO leaks anywhere under this truck, they better not come back with some BS issues about seals.

I love my 2016 Ram 1500 RCSB but I’m getting really discouraged by Stellantis and their bus model. I have a small fleet of GM 2500 gas and a 1998 3500 diesel well over 200K miles and basically trouble free. Parts are reasonable and service can be found anywhere. The Ford F250’s were nothing but problems so in won’t go down that rabbit hole again. I am in the market for a new truck and liked my Ram so much that I made a Ram my first choice. I went on line, configured a truck and let it fly. Two dealers are unable to locate a suitable 2026!and the build out on a 2027 is too early. My buddy has a fleet of GM 3500 Durand one Ram diesel. The Ram has been sitting in Cherry Hill NJ for more than six months unable to fix or replace the transmission because of parts. He too is looking to ditch Ram and is actively seeking a GM replacement. If Stellantis can’t fix what we got after we get it, what good are they? Service after the sale is important to a business owner. Looks like my new truck is gonna be a GM product.

You cant get lemon status as that is beneficial to you, but a lemon lawyer does take this type of case, or fill max limit small claims.

Ram helped us with the drag link recall - got us an actual redesigned working part in lieu of welding a kluge together (the provided warranty repair).

But that was a while ago, and what I've seen here since is Stellantis dragged Ram way downhill in service. FCA was bad enough. The Carlos legacy.

Just like the extended warranty, also. Carlos Tavares boosted profitability with these short term customer dis-services. Then got paid more millions to quit, leaving a creaking, near-bankrupt husk.
