Here's my situation, I put my key in to start the truck today and nothing. New battery, lights and all gauges functioned as they should. No matter how many times I tried it I got nothing. Then I put it in neutral and it fired right up. Will be taking it to the dealership tomorrow but was wondering ahead of time if anyone else has experienced this ? Mileage is at 161,000+ and have had it tuned at the 100,000 mark.

Again I have a new battery, but have never had the starter replaced. Any thoughts from those whom this has happened to ?

Was your foot on the brake hard enough? It had to be to put it into neutral.... just sayin
Maybe that doesn't matter in your truck. I have the push start so my foot must be on the brake.

Mine is a 2011 so no push start, just the oem fob that contains remote start. The fuel pump was also replaced awhile ago.

If it starts fine in neutral it has nothing to do with starter or fuel pump or battery. It is likely a transmission range sensor. It is only supposed to start in park and neutral. It is not seeing the park signal.

^^^^. Perfect to hear, at least I will have a starting point when it comes to telling them at the dealership. :)
