Heck yeah man!! That will look so much better in the dash. Does it require any modifications to fit in the factory slot?

What? You didn't order me one too? lol

Should be sweet. I can't decide on if I want to go aftermarket or not with the head unit. Probably will eventually though cause I'm not a fan of uConnect really.

Yea, you have to not the frame, but I already had to do that for the single din and pocket to fit properly.

Which model is your single din? I call crutchfield with a few questions about a radio upgrade and it seemed like I had to spend as much for extra wiring harness as I did for a radio itself...

CableGuy: It's the Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS.

If you have the Uconnect 3.0 (no touch screen) it's about $65 for the wiring harness to make it work.

I got the new Double Din AVH-X5600BHS installed:

I of course had to redo the harness entirely. And discovered the factory SXM anntenna connector was failing, so I had to run the aftermarket antenna too. It's above the 3rd light for now. I honestly kind of like it better back there. I can still get signal while at the drive in.

Do you lose the steering wheel functions with all after market stereos?

Looks good by the way I eventually want to get rid of the stock unit.

You can buy a module to retain the steering wheel controls.
I never had any to retain. :happy107:

Sir I need some assistance, It appears I have the same Pioneer Radio that you installed, I installed it and it did not work ( I purchased the Metra Harness) . I tried putting the stock 3.0 back,( original wiring) that didnt work. I tried reading voltage on the wire because there is no power to the stock deck either. I cant find voltage on the wire harness (original). There is no place or I dont have a radio fuse under the hood either( the manual says if equipped, there is an open space but there was never a fuse there), What could it be , a computer issue, some theft deterent , a actual fuse should be installed there?, Any ideas. I new at this

There is a fuse under the hood but I believe your HVAC controls wouldn't work either if its blown.

HHHMMMM there should be a radio fuse and theft deturent usually only locks the head unit not the power going to it.

looks really good !

this makes me miss having a sound system so bad. I really want to build a solid 300-400w Mid Bass system. I feel you could get some solid thump out of a set of powered 6.5 components, and 6x9 coaxials in the rear, and still be able to rattle the mirrors. I personally love the under seat storage, and would not want to lose that space to a sub.

They might have changed to to be on a system in the PCM but I really really doubt it with how much trouble they have had in the past with these radios

I can't wait for Phase II which will be amplified components. :naughty:
