Random dump into 3rd?

anyone ever had this happen, done this a couple times now when getting on it. just falls on its face shifting into 3rd, then picks up again. yes its custom tuned. no codes everything else is fine

I've had plenty of issues like this when there is custom tuning involved. Gotta get the laptop hooked up and take a log while attempting to recreate the issue.

I would connect a fuel pressure gauge and run it up under the wiper and go for a drive. Watch the fuel pressure while under WOT when the 2-3 shift occurs to see if the fuel pump is having a hard time maintaining fuel pressure.

I would also look at the timing advance to make sure the PCM is not pulling timing due to high KR, or Knock Retard.
