I have a 2000 Ram 1500, 2wd, with 5.9(360)

Originally while driving there would be moments when I went to give it gas and it just felt like the engine was choking out, one time it happened so I went to full throttle, and after about 2-4 seconds of the choking feeling it kicked down a gear and took off like it should. And once while coming to a normal complete stop it died.

To be noted, it's died a couple times, and when it dies due to this mystery issue, the truck WILL NOT start in neutral, I have to come to a complete stop and put it in park and it will fire up right away without hesitation. When it dies due to the mystery issue, If I put it in neutral and try to start it nothing happens, no clicking or anything.(If I kill the motor myself by turning the ignition off, It will fire up in neutral.)

I could feel it misfiring at start up and I've attached a pic of a couple of the plugs. I changed the Plugs, Wires, Cap and Rotor and since then I haven't felt the choking feeling(doesn't mean its gone just haven't felt it), but while slowing down to make a turn it did die on me(Had to come to a complete stop, put it in park for it to fire up).

I just got the truck and haven't driven it enough to figure out exactly the chain of events that cause the motor to die. Any help or insight would be amazing.

Interesting issue here. +1 for replacing ignition components. I'd pull the throttle body and clean it, the IAC and its passage and see where that leaves me. From there I'd probably put a pressure gauge on the fuel rail to see what the fuel pump is doing.

As for the no neutral start issue, THAT is also interesting as it is supposed to start in neutral.....I'd guess the neutral safety switch is probably acting up.

Yeah I was thinking next to change is the Neutral Safety, IAC and TPS. It will fire up without hesitation every single time and runs and idles just fine. My only other thought is that it does have a remote start system and maybe the issue lies in there some where.

So I changed out the TPS and the IAC and that seems to have fixed the issue. I drove the truck around for a while last night and then to work this morning and the throttle is way more responsive and I haven't felt the choking feeling and it hasn't died. When I pulled off the TPS there was no gasket or O-Ring on it.
