I have a 2012 ST Quad Cab 4wd. After significant research on this forum I decided to go with the Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks to level the front end and add 285 70 All Terrains. I don't want major modifications and want to maintain the factory ride as much as possible. I talked to the truck place today and he said he recommended the 2.5 ReadyLIFT with Rancho shocks. He believed it to be a better set up with a smoother ride than the Bilteins.

But, it might be just what he is familiar with. Any input would be appreciated. I want to stay away from the wobble problem and read recent threads where the Bilsteins have caused that issue.

5100 all the way. if you tow or haul alot in the bed dont do the full setting with the 5100 do one notch down so when your weighted down your not nose high. but if not go to the max. plus bilteins have probably a bigger r and d department then rancho and are known for use on high end cars. my truck rides real nice with them. you tube them you'll find alot of info on them.

I'd go Bilstein 5100s, probably a little cheaper than the setup he's trying to sell you too.

I've had the bilseins for 8 months. Much towing. Much forest and desert road travel. Couldn't be happier.

It's wasn't the bilsteins that caused or causes the vibrations(not a wobble). No matter what level kit you get you have the chance of the vibrations. What causes the vibrations is the increased angle in the cv joints which only happens in 4 wheel drive under hard acceleration

Ease of installation, and the "my ride" system available with the quick lifts.

Don't get me wrong, I like the bilstiens, just wish I took a different route.

Also, I've never had any problems with the bilstiens as far as vibration or shimmy.

Allot easier install and just as good of ride quality .
Sold a set of these to a gentleman that works at a Dodge dealership , he had the Bilstein levels on his truck prior to this install .
He was a test pig if you will for me on these Rancho shocks ...
Install was a snap way easier that than the Bilestein ... Ride quality same . Over all this customer liked them better in the long run (been 3 months) because of the shock itself and the my ride wireless is **** .

What all does the my ride wireless control? Just the firmness of the suspension or does it do height adjustment too?
