Rear Camera Question...

Recently purchased a 2013 Ram 1500. Truck came with the rear camera in the mirror which i thought was awesome. Sadly the truck came with a basic radio with no cd player. So my question is if I buy a aftermarket pioneer or alpine single or double din, what will happen to the camera?? Will I keep it with the harness or lose it???

Harness is from crutchfield and is the...Axxess XSVI-6523-NAV.

I was thinking of going with this unit...Pioneer DEH-X6700BS

Any help with this would greatly be appreciated....thanks

No I dont think so. Last time I looked at the diagram the mirror was stand alone wiring wise. Try and find a diagram to be certain.

Ill check it out...just got off the phone with crutchfield and they told me that I would lose it. Guess theres only one way to find out.

Unplugging the radio will answer your question. The feed goes directly to the mirror...
