So do I have to add the Mopar Fluid Limited Slip Additive when I use the Amsoil

SEVERE GEAR 75W-140 that Contains friction modifiers for limited-slip applications ?

Also I can't find how many quarts it takes .

I bought 3 quarts Amsoil severe gear and the mopar modifier just in case. I have not done it yet, but my plan is to drain, add the appropriate amount of modifier then top off with severe gear.

I read it takes over 2 but less than 3. Lol

Amsoil's website lists capacities for each component when you look at your truck's page.

Your truck will tell you if you need the additive, never put too much bad for your diff. Always with AS, if after the change you get shudder then you add an ounce or two at a time till it goes away. 90% of the time, you wont need it, and it isnt really a big issue all local stores carry it, so just get the bags and if you get shudder go pick some up. If you have an open diff you wont need it for sure.

Redline says their gear lube already has the friction modifier needed for the LSD, have that in my rear and works fine.
