Hey I installed new rear shocks (rancho rs9000xl) and I'm just wondering on how long it takes to settle because there still compressed

I am not positive on the 9000s, but I know the 5000s are not a gas charged shock, IE they won't 'expand' to full droop on their own.

This is confusing... If they are installed in the truck how can you tell if they are compressed ? These are a high pressure gas charged shock when you removed the retaining strap they should have fully extended on their own if not they somehow lost their gas charge...
