Help! I have a 2020 Ram 1500 and the rear tail lights are not working. I have flashers, brake lights, etc. But no night time tail lights on both sides.

Need more info. Is truck new, if so take to the dealer, Used? Sounds like possible a wire issue for the tail light, if your electrically savvy you can start opening things up and see, if not and you have a warranty I would let the dealer deal.

Check fuses,bulbs.
He said his brake light is working and usually that's the same bulb as the tail light, same fuse too I imagine. So I that's why I'm thinking loose wire, bad wire...so hard to tell with a description and not being there. If you take it the mechanics I bet it'll start working the moment you show up. :)

Bulbs can have duel filaments, one for park ,one for brake/turnsignal.

Electrical troubleshooting is something very difficult to explain or describe. Lights, LED or incan? There's a lot of hardware going on with new light systems. Most likely a relay or a fuse. Check outputs on trailer connectors. If trailer circuit is dead, it's definitely fuse/relay. I cannot say exactly where the relays and fuses are, but I'm sure there all in the same place. Dealer should be able to chase this down, easily. They're familiar with all the locations.

What did you find was the issue?? We are having the same issue. No rear running lights. Original dealership was not going to see the vehicle for a month.

Standard bulbs I believe. It is currently in the shop, and it’s on its 3rd day of the shop trying to track down what the issue is. They think it is a grounding/electrical issue, but not why or how.

First of all first owner se ond owner 6th owner- under warranty is under warranty it transfers if its Still valid by mileage and time..

Second, the tail light is the same BULB as the brake but not the same CIRCUIT.. Completely independent of each other. The bulb has 2 separate complete circuits. And the tail system has its own fuses and wiring.

Had the same issue, Stopped by CHP this morning letting me know my tail lights were out. Breaks and blinkers worked fine.

Spent a couple hours going through fuses with no help. Searching some forums, with no solution provided so I wanted to post my solution.

I got two new bulbs, replaced them in less than 15 minutes and they now work. Both Bulbs can go bad at the same time!

I had a similar problem and found a solution. My whole right tail light assembly (incandescent) wasn't working; break, marker, reverse or indicator lights. I opened it up to check the bulbs and saw corrosion on the metal connectors in the sockets and on some of the bulb terminals. I tried cleaning up the terminals in the sockets and tried new bulbs but nothing worked. Weirdly enough the break and reverse lights would work until I engage the right side turn signal, then the whole thing would cut out. Replaced the whole pigtail, everything worked fine. No control boards, no fuses, just some cleaned up bulbs and a new wip. I'm assuming that there was some corrosion I could see in the connection clip, but thank god it wasn't the whole wiring section under the truck.
