Guys, how’s it done? I’ve tried entering the dealer mode menu, pressing and holding the mute/tune buttons for 20 seconds and even tried the method of pressing and holding the the top-right corner of the screen. None of that worked.

Reason why I’m asking is because yesterday when I left after bringing the truck to the dealer for its 60,000 mile inspection, the outside air temp readout on the radio screen was stuck at 50° and it had warmed up more from when we got there. Brought it back and the service writer said that the only thing that was done electronically was the initial diagnostic scan.

Anywho, after we left one store and was driving home, the temp display all the sudden started working.

I have read multiple ways of trying to get into engineering or dealers mode on my 2019, which is 5th Gen, but it is a plain jane U Conn 4 radio (no nav, 911 or other BS), and have never been successful. FYI: 8.4 screen, U Conn 4, not U Conn 5.

I think it was doable on the first generation of Uconnect 8.4 radios but not any longer (might be wrong). Have you tried pulling the inline radio fuse? As you look into the engine bay from the driver quarter panel, look over the top of the battery near the bottom of the tray (just in front of the brake booster).

I think I’ve seen that before but wasn’t sure what it was for. That’s kinda odd. You’d think all the fuses would be in the power distribution box.
