Rec vs mygig in 07 ram

As few of u may now, I just purchased a rec nav used unit and all the disc changers and the nav was jammed up. Lucky me though, the seller is refunding me bc he said it was in perfect working order when he removed it. Was looking into getting another rec unit, but then realized I could snag a mygig unit for about the same price on eBay (4-500). I assume the mygig is a much better unit than the rec? I understand a the nav bezel wouldn't match up perfect, not worried at all about that part. Any opinions? Is the mygig the best?

i didn't know a mygig would work in a 3rd gen.
