I dont respond to recall notices unless its a serious flaw or i am having actual issues. My FJ Cruiser was recalled for a safety seat belt flaw. Mine worked fine so I just ignored it. I have the towing recall that i will have looked into when I hit 5k miles and will have them do the oil/filter change.

Does anyone know how a dealership handles trade ins on these trucks wit outstanding HSU recalls?

My understanding is that they cannot sell vehicles with outstanding safety recalls
A Ram dealer bought my old 1500 when I lived in Colorado. There were a couple recalls I never had completed, tailgate latch and a software program I think. They likely performed the recalls and got paid like they would have if I brought the truck in, but didn't mention it during the transaction.

Those recalls are capable of being completed. According to Ram, the
HSU recall on 2500 trucks has no fix, 1.5 years after announced
