Hey guys, I do 90% of my driving on pavement. however, I do have a cabin back a dirt/mud road, and regularly launch my boat on wet and thin mud covered ramps. The dealer put new Goodyear sra on my truck when I bought it, but to be honest, they are awful. I do not want to go too aggressive and hurt my mileage. I want to stay stock size (275 60 20)

Had to back/slide back down the ramp and unload the boat and drive up to the next ramp to get the Boat out. I've never had an issue before until this truck and tire combo.

I have Nitto Terra Grappler G2's. More expensive, higher load rating and 65k mileage warranty. It is an AT tire. Only a pound heavier than the OEM SRA's. General Grabber HTS60's, not an AT. Higher load rating than OEM, decent looking tread pattern and 65k mileage warranty.

I posted the quoted below in a different tire thread yesterday. I do all my driving on pavement and do not tow or haul anything. Drove out yesterday with the Yokohama's installed and warranted for 1k even. That doesn't include the $70 and $50 mail in rebates I got as well.

"Thank you all for the responses, much appreciated. I am at Discount Tire now. First off, the SRA's have 4/32" tread left after just over 22k miles...trash. I am having the Yokohama YK-HTX's put on. Yokohama's have a $70 and a $50 rebate on them and Michelin $50 rebate. Yokohama's are $42 less than the Michelin's per tire. Almost pulled the trigger on the Michelin's, but compared the two through the Discount Tire website and both have 70k mile warranty, Discount has the Yokohama's slightly better rated on handling and a little less rated on comfort. Their website also shows Yokohama's stop 18' shorter in rain and 9' shorter in dry conditions than the Michelin. Thanks again to everyone for their advice and opinions!"

I think the Pathfinder AT's will be a good fit in your application. 42 lbs on stock size, they're quiet and have nice manners on and offroad.

Is any highway tire going to be decent in light mud/moderate snow? I'd prefer not to slide down the boat ramp out of control again lol

Look at tires that have a centered tread block design with a more open tread block along the outside/shoulder area of the tire, with siping throughout the tread blocks.

Once the Nitto TG G2's on my truck wear down, these will probably be my next tire for the reasons I listed. There is more siping present, and it has a higher load index than the Nitto's. And less expensive than the Nitto's

My suggestion are the Continental TerrainContact Tires. I was a dedicated BFG KO/2 user for every truck Ive ever owned till I came across these. Quiet and smooth ride on the street and still take care of business off road. Definitely my new tire of choice.

I had the falkens on my ranger and loved them, but my mileage took a big hit - 2 mpg on the highway. What are you all getting for highway mileage with them?

Looking at the falkens, kumho at51, Arturo trail blade and the trail guide at. The Arturo and trail guides are under 500 for the set. Kumho 600, falkens 879.

I just picked up a set of tires after my SRA stock tires wore out. I was able to get 32,000 miles before they became to sketchy! Anyhow, moved up in size from 265/70/R17s to Bridgestone Revo 3 285/70/R17s. I love them! They are very quiet on the highway as well..! My truck has a leveling kit as well. Just my two cents.fe6a4d1c805aad001af9be9b28536102.jpg975605e9a6a80f49399d84a60e011ed7.jpg2d70303f1caea32bbac1ddb9d4b32491.jpg
