Recommendations for a battery

Just picked up an 07 ram 1500 that needs some work.. First things first, its needs a battery to start up. Any recommendations for a cold weather climate? I live in Massachusetts.

I have a interstate battery in mine. 2nd winter and its doing great. But I live in Utah, probably doesn't get anywhere near as cold as Massachusetts.

Cheapest and highest CCA, is Costco near you? Don't need membership, just have someone buy you a gift card, you can then shop there. Walmart also has some good deals. I always went with best deals, drove my 2003 5.7 2500 for 16 years in Upstate NY and Florida. Started every time from below zero to over 100. Good luck.

I have been having good experiences with batteries made by DEKA. They have a pretty impressive plant in PA. Their batteries are sold under different labels. Last I heard all NAPA batteries were made by DEKA.

I got a Motorcraft battery, it has a 100-month warranty. It may cost more than an EverStart Maxx, but I have had fewer issues with it than the WalMart battery and the warranty makes it worth it for me.

I’m a believer in AGM maintenance free batteries. No water to top off, and no acid corrosion on the terminals and battery tie downs.

A guy I know retired from that industry and told us any name brand AGM is better than flooded and to buy them on price/warranty because they’ll all perform.

I ended up with a Diehard Gold battery from Advance

Napa batteries are made by Deka, at least here in PA 1 hour from the Deka plant. Not sure if the same on the other side of the country.
