Hi all. I am wanting to interview a few shops about swapping rear gears. I want this done right once and by someone who really knows what they're doing inside and out.

Does anyone have experience with any shops around the south central PA area?

I am going to Appalacian Offroad in Westminster, Md to talk with them. Does anyone have experience with them?

So, help me understand... What are your thoughts to why you need to update your rear end?

If you change ratios you must match the front also on 4wd.
I'm in NJ and lowest estimate I got just to swap my std 3:55 to limited slip without changing ratio was $1700. That's without touching the front end.

I am sorry I didn't explain myself clearly as I have that habit. I am looking to get quotes for front and rear gear sets from well known installers. I helped a buddy do as set years ago so I know enough to leave that job to the professionals. Btw, we used to call all solid axles rears and the diff housing pumpkins. Am I dating myself?

The reason why I am inquiring is that I will be lifting the truck and will be riding on 37's or 40's. 40's I know will require regearing but I don't know about 37's. 2014 2500 with a 6.4 and 3.73 gears. Anyone run 37's without regearing?

I just got back from Appalacian Offroad. Mike, the owner, was very helpful. He said $2500 to $3000 total using Yukon. He also said anything more than 5 1/2 inches of lift might introduce a vibration in 4wd even with clocking the t-case. Any input with experiencing this?http://www.fordfullsize.com/
