Did anyone installed a red ignition button? Willing to try that but confused of too many part numbers for the red button. Don’t know which one will work. I know that Jeep guys makes that easily, but what about RAMs?

I know there are overlays you can stick on top of the factory button. Some look better than others and offer different color options. Would be cool to find the actual buttons in different colors...like anodized orange to match my other interior pieces.

This company does it, I have a steering wheel badge from them that I’ll probably never install. It’s good quality though so I imagine their push button overlay would be nice:

Those overlays doesn’t looks like factory made. That’s why I’m still searching for the right «button”. But it seems the only solution is to buy few and to try. I’m swapping the engine to 6.4 now, so that’s why I wanted to get some SRT accents inside:))

The ram "button" is different than some other vehicles in that it's an actual module. Other vehicles have a button insert type thing that just inserts into the slot that a ram without pushbutton start has.

I'm not sure if you could take apart the ram button module and replace just the button portion.

So overlay is the only solution, right?

Probably. Like chrisbh17 explained. We have both converted our trucks to push button start, so we’ve had these modules in our hands. I don’t see any way to get just the button out to replace it.

Don’t get me wrong, I want to replace not just a button, but module as well.

Here’s our module- 5MjIlUx.jpg
Here’s the charger module linked above- RNgEqcd.jpg
It’s not just a button but the whole module. They are different between ram, dodge, Jeep, and they use different FCC ID numbers.

Now it is clear! Many thanks for the explanation!
