Dear Ram owners,

I have a 2013 RAM 1500 Laramie Longhorn and I currently have the factory projector headlights in the pickup. I have removed the halogen bulbs and installed LED bulbs but in order for the LED's to fit i had to cut some of the plastic housing away cause I could not find LED's that had a small enough base and water got in the housing and burnt out both LED turn signal bars in the bottom of the headlight. I was wondering if you could somehow put like the reflector headlight assemblies in place of the projection assemblies. Like the quad beam or dual beam? Reason why I am asking this is because the projection assemblies are VERY expensive and I would like to save some money. Please let me know if there is a conversion i can do! It would be much appreciated!! Thank You!

I have a 2018 Laramie with projectors I used a heat gun and a door knob to reshape the covers to allow LEDs to fit and the covers to still seal. I didn't get pics but I will be putting in high beams soon and I can take pics then.

How are they far beyond that? Take them apart and clean them repaint and seal it back up. Then buy new cover caps reshape them if you wanna save money. It you want the OEM quad reflectors I just took mine off perfect shape I'll trade you straight across.

Dinky, water has gotten into the headlight housing and has burned out the led turn signals and am wondering if the reflector headlights will work. They probably dont have the same wiring harness

Correct, the harness is different, they make conversion harness for reflector to projector but I haven’t seen a harness going to other direction. I personally like the projectors and if you get a new set, just do a bit of research because they make LED that fit in those housings.
I run cheapo off Amazon with decent success, when I save up a bit I think I’m going to go with headlight revolution LED, not wanting to convert to HID.

Sorry for the tangent but again, the do make low profile LED that easily fit in the stock housing without modification.

Yeah you will need to figure out the wiring lol. Like the post above there is cheaper replacements then OEM that use the same plug. I myself would tear it apart and customize it.

I originally put LEDs in my projectors and the reflector high beams. The light from the projectors was actually dimmer than the original headlights. I put HIDs in the projectors, and they are so much brighter. I left the LEDs in the high beams.

Your best bet is get a quality GTR gen-5 HID kit from headlight revoluation for your projectors. Them repair the area you cut out, and install these with the water proof grommet that goes through the dust covers on the lights. These kits are a true plug and play system that works great.

And WILE E has good advice also. I put a set of Supernova V3 LED's in my high beams and this made a big difference also.
