Remote start cancelled. Hood is ajar.

That's the message I get when I try to remote start my 2011. It only happens when its hot outside. Over 85F maybe or parked in the sun on a day over 75F or so. There doesn't appear to be any adjustment on the hood switch. Anyone else ever have this?

As long as your hood is not open when you are getting this message, you probably need a new hood latch.

Sounds like a warranty item, have you tried the dealership for it?

hood latch switch had the same issue it was very intermittent once replace has had zero issues
