i usually stay in background and read/learn but need help if someone can. I parked my truck 2009 1500 yesterday and used remote to lock it. Went out today, remote unlocked it but truck would not turn over. Tried remote start and it said disabled. Battery is well charged and all windows, lights and other electronics work. The truck acts as if I am using the wrong key fob and I have tried with both that I have.
Any help would be appreciated before I have to call tow truck and be at mercy of the dealership.

Was the battery disconnected the whole time? I know some of the older chevs would need a security reflash from the dealer as the computer would hold memory until the charge was gone.
Not sure if it's the same for dodges or not.

Only parked it overnight at my house. Battery never disconnected until after problem discovered. I tried that as a possible reset.

Any chance you are low on gas? Remote start doesn't work if the "low fuel" light is on or possibly even a little before it comes on.

Thanks but no. I have 1/2 but it not just the remote start. Truck won’t start at all. Believe it might be the wireless ignition module gone bad.

Remote start is usually disabled when there’s a issue with vehicle... Even when the battery is dead My Rams will still try and start up and then throw a code that voltage is low... When it wouldn’t remote start it’s caused I fudged something on ALFAOBD...

I had this problem with a Chevy at work, it ended up being some kind of security setting with the key and we had to get a new key. For whatever reason the truck did not recognize that key anymore. Don’t know if it is the same thing, just throwing it out there.

Maybe have a look see at the hood latch because it has a built in switch that disables the remote start function on the Vehicle so no one can start the truck if say someone was working on the engine maybe poke around that area and see. Also if its a aftermarket remote start they will have a trigger pin on the hood left side or right does the same as the latch one

So if it won’t start at all, have you tried the old fashion way smack the starter with a rubber mallet or something a few times and try to start it. The starter might be bad.

I might be completely off topic or suggestion but if it won’t start I would start with the starter first.

Also if it was a bad key it would say key not recognized or something to that effect on the dash when you try and start the vehicle.
