Remote start hood latch wiring

Hi Ya'll !
I know this has probably been covered but i don't see it anywhere ! If someone could help me out here I have a 2019 1500 classic 5.7 HEMI 4th Gen
I want to add remote start I know I need the hood latch but i see a wire that ends at the hood latch and is not connected to anything so I assume it is for the hood latch ! if so do I need to do anything ?
I know I have to put the right hood latch with the sensor on it and use the ALFA OBD to program it but i guess what I am asking is is that wire already connected in the tipim and in the cap under the dash at the bus?

Cheap way to do it is I put a $2 resistor in line where the hood latch switch is suppose to be that wire usually plugs into it instead of buying the latch for $150 just keep in mind it can start with the hood open this way.

I dont know how to enable remote start have not done one yet My latch just failed so i bypassed it I am sure someone else will chime in.

anyone know what color wire from the hood switch is ground Purple or purple and blue chaser ????
