OK I have a couple of questions. my truck is a 2500 2016 of course. looking at the connector under the tipm I have the purple and purple black wires going to the bcm. I tested them with a multimeter I am getting 12+ volts on the purple wire. if I connect them together my truck says autostart cancled hood open. I didn't change the resistance in alphaobd it still says 1k I have not tried the 500 option. I also do have a hood latch with sensor on the way from mopar parts online. so while getting it working would be nice I am thinking ahead how to make sure it works. I am also curious about the upgraded 7 inch evic should it not tell me the hood is open? it does not.IMG20251106140238.jpgIMG20251106140210.jpg
And then I find these after working in there. are these wiring to the front, like that hood latch switch and perhaps fog lights or something? how can I use these if that is what they are? IMG20251107123920.jpgIMG20251107123913.jpg

So for a temporary work around until my parts are here I looped a wire between those 2 terminals, changed the alphaobd setting from 1k resistor to 500 ohms parrallel and series, or however it is worded. it works great, though again interestingly enough my 7 inch evic never said hood open perhaps when my new hood latch gets in and I get it wired it will.
