Remote Start Install

I'm looking for insight on installing remote start on a 19 1500 classic Laramie ED with keyless touch and go.
I took it to the dealer but the kit they ordered is incorrect. It came with teardrop fobik instead of rectangular.
I understand I will need the alpha obd and the correct fobik. I have the hood latch.
There is a wire by the hood latch now. So is it correct to assume that the truck is already wired for remote start?
Does any have experience with this that could tutor me a bit. On what I need for this particular truck. I have read a lot of posts but so far I havnt seen the remote start added to existing keyless start wit touch and go.

My 14 had the wiring by the hood latch but no pin connection, I think it was pin 11. So it does not mean it is wired. I just bypassed the darn thing and grounded it.

Cut from this forum when I did mine. If there’s no pin 11, sometimes it’s tapped to the wiring harness and ya just pin it in. Look under your driver foot well up and to the far left.




Your RF hub should already support remote start if you have all the other goodies you mentioned already. With that being said all you need is the key with the remote start button and either the hood latch functioning or bypassed. You have to enable remote start using alpha obd. You can program your new key using alphaobd as well.
