So my remote start seems to work when it wants to and recently not very often. I suspect it’s the remotes battery and have opened the key fob several times to check that the battery is seated correctly, but it’s frustrating. Not a huge deal, just interested to see if anyone else is having the same issue and if it is in fact just the remotes battery. Thanks

Have you had the dealer check your key fobs? Do you have issues with both fobs?

Mine has command start issues among other issues. I live in Canada and we recently had a cold snap and it pretty much never worked. Odd thing is it started working again more frequently once it warmed up. It only warmed up for about 2 days before getting cold again so I don't exactly have a ton of data but it seemed like an odd coincidence.

Probably a dumb question but was your truck's low fuel warning light on?

The remote start won't work (starts then stops) if that's in.

If any of the commands from the fob do not seem to be obeyed by the truck and you want to try to figure out what the problem is, the very first thing you need to do is get to where you can see the display on the dash. You push a button on the fob, the truck does not respond (properly), but if you can't see the display, you won't see the report that the truck faithfully displays, telling the driver what is wrong. My truck, for instance, has air suspension, but it would not respond to the command to drop to entry level. I walked to the driver's door and pushed the button on the fob, and lo, there on the display, it was reporting (to no one) that there was a door ajar. Since the truck can't tell the difference between ajar and open, it would not lower its height, which is the default behavior.

I had a key fob that worked everything, and a key fob that worked somethings, but only when it wanted to. Took the entire fob apart, and noticed there is small spots of corrosion inside on the circuit board from getting wet.
