Remote Start

I am looking to add a remote start to my 2013 Ram 1500, I am looking at the Start-X brand and also the one sold by 12 Volt Soulutions. I was wondering if anyone here has one or the other brand of Start X or 12 Volt, I am looking to see if you have had any issues with and if so, what problems did it gave also how long have you had the remote start for. Thanks

pop open your fob, and see if the contacts for a remote start are in there

chances are, you got all you need, you just need to have it turned on

It doesn't, that's why i am looking to add aftermarket

My truck had a start x installed in it by the dealer. It's worked absolutely flawlessly except for all of last year the lights would flash three times. I searched high and low on the internet for an answer and I found lots of false information. So I decided to buy another startx and install it myself. I ordered it on Amazon when I received it first thing I did was read the instruction manual and it described how to enter an exit out of valet mode. The description for valet mode was exactly what my truck was doing. So I tried the procedure for exiting out of valet mode and my truck then remote started again flawlessly. If I had I had the owner's manual for that when it first happened I wouldn't have went a year with it not working LOL. But as for how well it works perfectly. You just hit the lock button on your fob three times and it will start.

Just got a 2024 Ram Lone star package truck for work from my company. It doesnt have remote start but I would like to add it. I have looked at the Startx brand, any others I should look at or stay away from?
