Removing resonators?

Has anyone removed the factory resonators and welded in pipe? I ordered a magnaflow muffler SI/DO today and made an appointment at the muffler shop to have it welded in and the resonators removed when I said remove the resonators he said there might not be enough room. He hadn't done one and didn't look at mine but didn't think there was room. I looked under and seems like it would be fine. Just wondering if anyone has removed them?

What in the world does that even mean? Not enough room? For what, a pizza party? Your cutting a piece of pipe out and putting a new one in, it's not rocket science. Considering you have to enough length to even have a resonator with good flow this should not have even been a question.

U don't know why there's not enough room? I had mine done about 1 year ago.
