i am replacing my 2004 5.7 hemi ( p/n P53021758DB TNX634431009) with a 5.7 hemi (P53021758DB TNXE614211543).

Question is - what do the TNX numbers refer to? Is the replacement engine the same as the one I am taking out??
I think it is but not sure.

The old engine dropped a valve seat and took out the piston on cyl #1.

Same p/n you'll be fine. The TNX number is the engine serial #. Do you know what year/model (1500, 2500 etc) it came out of?
