Is there a way to do this without having to pull the entire housing out?

Nope, but the to do the job requires 4 bolts on the grille and 2 bolts and the rear clip on the housing, very simple to do.

I've had mine out more times than I can count. I just helped my cousin replace his bulbs and it took us 10 minutes to finish it going slowly. There are also the clips you'll have to disconnect from the wheel well! Just open the little hatch and pull down on the white tab inside there!

You do not need to take the grill out. You can use a couple of extensions and get to the bottom bolt on the headlight. Maybe some of the older trucks do but 13+ do not require it if you have the right ratchet extensions.

It really isn't that bad to do, the first time take your time and lay some cloth down on your bumper while remove the grill. Once you do it it's really simple.

Always protect the upper bumper fascia! It will scratch easily. Dodge recommends using some masking tape that you can peel easily on their instructions for removing and replacing the grille.

It was not as bad as I expected. Only took me about 30 minutes. It was harder getting it to line up with that back clip more than anything. Thanks for all the help guys

I started to wonder if every truck is like that because mine 14' ram got a little compartment under the tire part, is very small but there is were I take out the light buld the hard part is put it back making sure don't touch the edge to get contaminated but I would try a least once take the all housing out :waytogo: :)
