Got an 04 2500 and all the black plastic trim pieces around the truck are super sun faded and look like garbage. I want to somehow restore them back to new and was wondering if anyone has done it or has some experience with this?

Would it be worth it just to buy all new pieces? I would need to restore the Bed rail covers, both bumper step pads, hood vent under the windshield, and both mirrors.

    Thanks in advance!

I know of two good options. One is Mother's Back to Black and the other is black plastic bumper and trim spray paint.

But before you do anything clean the plastic with a magic eraser.

I have used both of the above on my 03 Ram 1500 QC. As stated, prep is the key to a good outcome. They both worked good. In Cent Cal they need to be done about every 3 years.

Solution Finish, Carpro Dlux, and other trim coatings will do the job, just need to clean the trim properly before applying.

Don't bother with Mother's Back to Black and other dressing type products, they won't last long at all especially if you see rain often.

I've been wanting to try CarPro DLUX but I've had such great luck with regular CQuartz UK 3.0. As mentioned above, prep is key. I power wash them after letting them soak in suds, then wipe them down with alcohol before applying ceramic. A little goes such a long way.
