Gotta go with ST-8 on this one, this ranks up there with "I wanna put a hemi in my 3.7/4.7/5.9", "I wanna put an eagle hemi in my pre-eagle hemi/4.7/3.7 Ram", "I wanna put a monster stroker and blower in my 03..." etc, etc. Questions, some of them outright dumb asked over and over and over and over ad nauseum. You have said multiples times you don’t have the money to do anything major for a long time to come, and you keep saying you’re getting rid of the truck for a car half the time. All you are doing asking these questions about this dream truck is just frustrating yourself that you can get it going right now. Like the other guys said, there are tons of these threads for every imaginable trans/engine/suspension swap for the rams that have been talked about for 10 years all over the internet just by doing a simple google search and adding “forum” to the end of the search tag. That’s really how I found 75% of all the info I’ve used building my own truck. And when I get in the position to start the next project and need info I ask in the right places. I’m sorry to say if you keep asking questions looking for answers that already exist, people will get on you about it after awhile. I’m not saying to never ask stuff, just do some research on your own time and come up with new questions. It will make it easier on everybody involved. And no, the exact perfect vehichle with the perfect balance of weight, power, perfect gear ratio transmissions and dropped custom suspension that rides frame while still allowing you to jump train tracks and giant speed bumps doesn’t exist, and it sure doesn’t exist on a budget.
