Rim help for a new member

So I'm brand new to the forum bought a white 2014 1500 cc sport back in august, and spring is here!! Finally lol .

I'm interested in 22 inch Rims and a 2"rear drop and have 2 questions

1. I prefer a street rim ex srt10 rim. I want to know with a 2 inch rear drop what's the biggest street tire I can put on the rim, to help fill out the wells and give me a nice side wall to keep my current comfort level .

2. 22x9 vs 22x9.5 xs 22x10
Will the width of the rim effect the over all high of the mounted tire ? What width should I be going with ? And why

Comfort and a full wheel well is my goal what rim width and tire size do I get all you pros... Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Most guys who have 22" rims who still want a little tire run 305/45/22 tires. Its about the same overall diameter as a stock wheel setup.

With just a rear drop, you will be fine on some 305/45/22.

Any lower in the front you might want to get some 305/40s, but even then will still be ok. These trucks have huge fenders.
And no rim width has nothing to do with overall height of the wheels. That has to do with the rim diameter (obviously) and tire size.

Any one of those width is fine for these trucks. We have room, but what you want to look for is the wheel offset also.

Stock is +19
Any lower and the wheels will be pushed OUT
Any higher and the wheels pushed IN

but at the same time wheel width plays a part in that too.

Hey thank for the input guys. I totally forgot to ask about offset thx for looking out. Ok so 305/45 is the biggest I can go right guys ? Is my factory sport 20" a 9" wide wheel ? I'm also open to suggestions the srt 10 and kmc slides are on my list so far.

Well, 305/45s is the same overall diameter as the stock tires. So if your going to rub on stock tires, you will rub with the 305/45s

Yes sport wheels are 20x9

SRT10s and Slides are both nice wheels. Friend has the slides and he has a 2" rear drop. For some reason he got 305/40/22s when he got the rims. Some package deal the local rim shop sold him. He could run 305/45s if he wanted. It's not that low.

Yea, im running 2'' rear drop on 305/45r22 on the srt10s. Perfect tire size for that stance imo. Check out DUB Push, i have always liked those. If you like the slides, you will probably like them too.

Thanks man! I actually was torn between the milled and the solid black when i was choosing. I think i chose the solid black because i was worried they might look too busy with all the edges on the wheels. I still think they would look killer though.

Edit: Rims are 20x10 +23.4 or 24.3mm cant remember

The diameter is only half an inch taller than stock tires, so that wont be a problem. Depends on wheel width and offset.
