I'm considering adding rock lights to my 2019 PW. It would be more form over function as I'm not doing any off-roading at the moment that would require them. Still, I'd like to get a durable pair that's going to last several years. My local off-road shop has their own branded lights but is charging close to $800 for an installed set of 8. They do high-quality work so I'm not bashing the price, but I feel like for that price I'd prefer to do it myself. I've done the exhaust, intake, and Amp power step installs myself so I feel like rock lights are in my realm of skills. :)

The question is, what brands are recommended? I just want a single color (white) and would like two under each fender well. Any special installation tips?

This is on my mod to do list. I’m a rigid fan. Vision X is a close 2nd. 4 lights will Tun you $400 so if you already have a power source set up then I would not sub it out. If you are doing more 12v powered mods, you might consider a switch pod as a hub.

Well, considering the price of those I guess their estimate for a set of eight installed isn't too bad a deal...

I don't have any other 12v powered mods planned. I was looking at some $100 ones from Amazon but I'm assuming you get what you pay for.

I cannot vouch for amazon... if the $800 includes 1 year warranty on the lights and 30 days on the labor, then that is fair price. I doubt you bought a PW cause your cheep! So get some quality lights and take the time to mount them with good hardware, and a well thought out switch location.

You speak the truth. Thanks for the insight!

It's time for a tire rotation (I did buy my wheels and tires from them as that's one thing I wasn't going to tackle myself) so I may have them throw on the rock lights while it's there.
