I know what they look like bro, I was looking for some decent feed back like fitment, durability, any places to find them for a better price then $800 plus.

I used to have the RX-1's. Figment was "ok". I had to shim them a bit to get them away from the body especially where they wanted to hit the OEM flares. I got tired of hitting the step-hoops on things and installed AMPs - not really the fault of the RBP's, any other non-hideaway step has the same issue.

On an aside, I can say either their customer service sucks, or the contact info on their website doesn't work. I've wanted to purchase a new hardware set to include when I sell the steps. I've tried contacting them 3 times and have yet to receive any reply.

What happens to amp steps if you drop down on a rock?

IMO

Probably nothing good, but I've not dropped that far yet... I'm not sure your rocker wouldn't hit first; damn sure your frame would.

If your worried about that neither of those products are right for you.... a simple tube steel or wound tube step it what you need with no parts that hang down or change in shape.... but no one makes those, and I'm pretty sure you can have a shop custom fab you something for far less them them RBP units and even the N-fab ones... 1.5" 120 DOM is only $3.50-$4.00 a foot and you'll only need about 20'-0" a few bends and welder...

RBP Rx3

I've been running them for about 4 or 5 months now. Fairly solid and good looking rails. As everyone knows they re pricey. I m starting to see some slight rust in a few spots after the winter.

RBP service sucks. I d definitely look around at other brands before I bought another set of rails but I do like them.

If the amp fold up higher than the frame, then I think it would be fine.

Nope, the most common contact and vulnerable spot is the rockers... but really we shouldnt be taking these truck on a trail where that is an issue anyway. But thats comming from a guy who uses his rockers while crawling on big obstacles and has stupidly wiped out the Carr steps on my old cummins playing around where i should have had the jeep.
