So I'm looking at going for the Rough Country 2.5" Suspension / 1.25" Body Lift Combo and have a few questions. Does this void warranty? Is voiding warranty more about who installs it rather than what's installed? Do you think a dealer with a full garage would do the lift? I know, I need to call, just looking for insight.

Now to start putting together the shopping list. I'm sticking with 20" rims, but I am replacing them. Thinking about going to 10" wide from the factory 9" width. What would be a good offset for 35" tires on a 10" rim? What's a good tire that won't break me but is fairly aggressive? Still needs to run down the highway. Do I need to buy anything else besides the kit below, the new rims and tires? I do know I'll need an alignment as with any change to the suspension. Other than that, is there any other costs I need to consider?

other costs to consider is installation if youre not doing the instal yourself.

a 20x10 will usually be at a -10 or so offset should clear it.

as far as warranty goes, from what ive read on the forum. it wont void it, the dealer has to proove that your modification cause the malfuncion if any.

But for sure, what ive seen do, is a dealer will void your suspension warranty. In other words, if you've touched it, its void. But your power train and everything else is all good.
Which is fine i think

depends on the dealer, i got the combo lift on my truck with 35s i called up parts and service spoke to the guy told him what i was gonna do and he said go for it, my dealer sells trucks with lifts right off the lot. then i went and installed it myself saved myself some money which i later threw in and purchased exhaust and intake haha

I would much rather do the lift myself and save myself the money. I've worked on my own cars since I was 16 so I'm confident I could get it done with a couple extra hands. I'm gonna give my dealer a call in the morning and see what they say. I wish I could do it right now though, I have to wait until after the first of the year cause I won't be able to hack rims and tires before then.

Nice truck Diminus. What offset where those rims on your ride?

thanks, offset is a +18 20x9 rim very close to stock rim, im planing on going higher and adding fender flares over the winter so i may go to a -24 offset but il have over 7 inches of lift when i do that change over, my understanding is anything over a -12 on these trucks with 35s and under 4 inches of lift are known to rub

Great info for the direction I'm heading. Definitely think I'll go for some fender flares if I have to go with an offset that low. I don't mind a wide stance though on a lifted truck.

me either, i like wide stance but at the point and time i was heading out on holidays and i had 12 hours of gravel road to go on, i live in a isolaterd spot so if i had the offset i wanted i would probably need a paintjob aswell haha, i still had to tape up the truck. tires stick out about a half inch or 3/8ths past fenders

Even with the factory offset, I'm surprised at how far out the wheels stick out. I hit some mud and my truck is splattered. Good excuse to buy something else for my truck, lol.
