im having a brain fart... last summer i purchased oil for a oil change...rear diff fluid and i also purchased 2 quarts of royal purple max gear 75w90....i seem to cant remember why i purchased it lol...or what the hell it was used for.... i got a ram 1500 8-Speed, 5.7

Not sure why you purchased it , but RP Gear oils perform terribly in gear oil test for the last several years .

Maybe you could use it for burning out stumps , oil lubricating wood screws or nails in hardwoods ...maybe cook it a bit in a large frying pan to discolor it Abit and restain your fence with it ??[emoji16]

There's lots of uses for this oil , I just can't think of any ( good ) use in your Ram 1500 [emoji106][emoji106]

All jokes aside , that's the wt oil for the front differential ...but it really does test poorly .

Thankyou, yeah I could not remember just got reccomend. I can't find no information about doing a oil change in a front differential.

Not the transfer case-that takes the max4 ATF

Untill Royal Purple drastically changes their formulas for engine oil , xsmn oil and especially differential oils back to what they use to be ( 6+) years ago I'd completely disregard this BRAND ...

I strongly recommend Redline...it helped my Hemi tick and even though I put Mobil 1 synthetic in my diffs...I’ll be switching to Redline soon.

I was a big fan of royal purple until I did my research and saw the test results.
