I changed the oil on my '14 today. Just a tad over 4K on the oil. 97K on the truck now. I used an RP 20-500 for the first time. Previous filter was an RP 20-820. It appears I have gained approx 3 psi at idle, from 33 to 36 PSI. I see no difference at higher RPM's.

The only other change was I went from Shell Gas Truck 5W-30 to PUP 5W-30. And as usual, 15 ounces of Lubegard.

It idles so quiet. :)

I'm going to keep an eye on the idle oil pressure and see if it goes back to 33 like it has been since I bought the truck.

Is that good or bad, lol? Really interesting and I don't know the answer, I can say not all psi is good, case and point the 10-48rp cousin filter which is related to the 20-500. Some psi is restriction of flow and some psi is actual flow within oil lines - as the main cause. Which also means not all psi increase is bad, lol. I'm not tossing my hat into this one, just stating my opinion, fact is 20-820 is so hard to find it is nice to have an option.

You raised psi but you didn't get the bump from the oil pump.

I dunno what to make of it. Truck runs very quiet. PUP 5W-30 slightly thicker than Shell Gas Truck 5W-30? I dunno.

Nothing to worry about for sure, didn't mean to imply that. One thing for sure, hemi's tell you when something is wrong.
