I have a 2014 1500 Hemi. I am not really sure if they are factory installed but their are colored foot pieces where to step that are made of aluminum I would guess. It is extremely slippery when wet. I don’t know whose idea it was that thought it would be a good idea to place those there but it’s very dangerous. I don’t know whose idea it was that made them but I want to just replace the step pieces which are held on by screws.
