Hello all,

I am new to this forum and am not sure if this would be the right place for this question. So please let me know. I have had my 2015 RAM 1500 Eco - Diesel for about a month now and am looking for some running boards to help with getting in and out. I have no clue what brand is trustworthy. My budget would be under 1000 dollars for both sides. Thanks again!

I have the "AMP research power steps," mentioned above my post. I agree, save for a tiny bit longer and buy those. I have had them for almost two years and they operate as if brand new and still look brand spanking new. I get lots of complements and they are cool as hell. Check them out on YouTube because any picture I post here will not do the product justice. If you have any questions, let me know. I paid 1,500k for parts and install. But hey, I don't know any one to "hook me up," so, that is about the going rate. If you know a shop, and they hook it up, even better. Check them out on YouTube.

Screw it, I edited my post cuz I was pooping and had more time to post a link for you. :)
And, as a bonus, demo is on a RAM truck so you can see how it will look for reals.

Looks AWESOME. That said I'm a 300 pounder and when that gal stepped on it there was quite a bit of flex. I suppose I will go search for more product reviews and look for the big n tall section and see how they hold up.

It will hold I believe 600lbs. Maybe 650lbs. I know for sure 600lbs because I am 285 and I remember telling myself it will easily hold 2 of me. I didn't watch the video, only the first 10 seconds, perhaps the limit was stated and I am way off. However, I am sure I am close. At 300lbs, you are fine.

My only complaint with the Amp steps, which is the only reason i didnt get them, was they dont offer anything wheel to wheel length... I want and need to access the front of my bed so having that step is a big part of me utilizing my truck. I ended up with Tough country steps, similar to N fab but mine are bolted to the frame vs being hung from the sheet metal... With that being said my recommendation would be whatever mounts to the frame as i get sick when i think about the body's sheetmetal flexing constantly...

I saw a video of the AMP steps being installed and it appears they attach to the body. Can any AMP owners confirm?

Answering the OP, I bought some Westin Pro Traxx 4" oval steps and they just came in today. Unfortunately, I won't have time to put them on until tomorrow, but, plenty of other rigs here have them as well.

Has anybody installed the AMP power steps on a 2015 Mega Cab? If so, which model did you use? Thanks!
