Running board/side step question

I bought a set of black factory running boards for my 2015 ram 1500 crew cab off craigslist. They are like new and come off a 2016 ram 1500. They only have two brackets, one on each end. Is that normal or is there supposed to be a center bracket ? I saw a spot to add a center bracket on the underside of the bars but they have plastic caps over the threaded holes. I was just curious if I need a center bracket or if it is fine with just one at each end. Thanks.

2 brackets are fine, I bought the same steps, and they came with 3 brackets. That center bracket definitely will disperse the weight and reduce the stress on the inner rocker when standing on the steps.
