I was cleaning my truck today and took a look underneath my truck and found some parts rusted near the rear of the truck. I just bought my 2013 truck and barely put 400 miles on it. I know parts eventually rust but to rust this quickly I don't know if I should be concerned. I live in Northern California where it is dry. Any one have the same issue or have any input on this?!?

This is pretty typical rust on the 13's. Uploaded a couple picks to show you. I am not one that is big on rust, especially living in Washington. I have plans this summer to remove these parts and paint any and all that Chrysler didn't figure they needed to. I have almost 5000 miles on my truck now, the rust you see in my pics was there when I bought it back in December.

Like said, that is normal under the truck. Something I have started doing is cleaning my undercarriage by simply spraying tire foam on just about everything, and then just wiping it off after a few minutes. It puts a protective layer of grease on there to prevent rust, and it also makes everything look new again.

Thanks for the input. Probably going to do the same and spray something underneath there.
