Rust on front bumper.

We got our RAM 1500, 4x4, 2016 and have really enjoyed it. Today I noticed the front bumper starting to rust. So far it's surface rust. We live in BC and the truck was undercoated when we got it. We got an extended warranty for 5 years. Would this not be covered. The warranty says all parts should be brand new. Has anyone else had rust on the bumpers?

Chrome polish should take care of it unless its really bad. My previous RAM had some surface rust on the front bumper when I first bought it with pretty much 0 miles on it. I used some chrome polish on it and it made the rust go away and it was still gone after two years when I sold it. Its worth a try rather than going to the dealer anyway.

Pictures would help. If it’s rail dust easy. If it’s rust the only only solution is refinish. Unless it’s rotted through the warranty won’t cover it
