I'm looking at getting these mirrors from a 2012 2500 painted and installed on my 2014 1500 black sport. I just want to make sure that the mirrors below are the same style and size as the painted mirrors that come with the 2014 sports? And will they be plug and play? Thanks!!

No. The 2013-2014 mirrors have the temperature sensor in the drivers side mirror. Therefore the 2012 mirrors will not have this. The mirrors themselves will work but your truck will not read the temperature and your trucks engine will begin to perform poorly.

If you can find a driver side 13+ mirror the passenger side will work. For instance I have a tow mirror off a 2012 on my 2013 express on the passenger side. However my driver side is off a 2013 ram

OK, that's what I was thinking.

So I'm wondering why that would mess with the engine running poorly.

Just curious.

Yeah I was wondering the same. Perhaps the computer adjust air to fuel for different outside temperatures?

the truck won't know what the weather's like and that might mess up its weekend.

kidding of course, I doubt it'll mess with the engine but I think it'll throw a code in terms of not reading/malfunctioning temp sensor.

I haven't encountered it but I did a lot of research before putting my tow mirrors on and I found in a few threads people saying it would cause the truck itself to run poorly. Now i don't know if that's 100% true but I didn't chance it.
