Ok so it's time for me to get a new set of tires first set I'm putting on my ram since I bought it my last 3 vehicle I have owned I have always ran general grabbers AT2 and highly recommend those tires. but they don't have that tire in the size for my ram. Has anyone ran either the generals ATX or the X3 are they any good I use my truck for daily driving, Towing, camping/ hunting I do go off-road but nothing too crazy.

In comparison to the AT2. I typically get 50.000 mile out of them, drove emergency in snow blizzard of 2010 for hospitals never got stuck. Pulled the camper threw a muddy field on a hunting trip never got stuck.

There are tons of tire threads here, do a search for the tires you're asking about and see what comes up. The answers are definitely there.

The ATX is the new gen AT2. they came out pretty much at the same time the X3's did back in 2018 if i remember correctly. X3's are heavier and look more aggressive cause they're MT. ATX are AT. The last will last longer, give you better mpg, better rain/snow traction. MT's will better in the mud, heavy packed snow, give the you a more aggressive looks. Pick your poison.

General ATx 285/60/20 tires on my truck. Best tires I’ve ever owned!!
Smooth ride for a 10 ply tire, D7D84AA7-62A6-4DF0-A15C-CC726E293807.png quite, aggressive thread design.
And only one of the very few
still made in the USA!!

I also run AT2s. Great in the snow. I only see the ATX as being better.

The X3s sure look good though. I do think the AT2 and ATX look good too.

I think u would be very happy with the atx. I know a guy at work who swears by his General tires. Says he ain’t ran anything but them for 10 yes. Grabbers/grapplers he has loved em all. He says his current atx are the best yet. Says last year they did better in snow than the duratracs on his brothers truck. I really considered them. The guy at discount tire I worked with has them on his truck he showed me. He said the grabber at2 had developed a bit of a cult following. Said it seemed General took all the best of the at2 and brought that and more bad weather traction (3 peak snow rating) and made the atx. Especially with the toyo at3 35x11.5s on national back order. But my current set of toyo at2s have been awesome and have made it 62,000 miles. So at only a 10 dollar a tire difference between atx or toyo at3 in 35x12.5 I figured go with the brand ive had personal experience with.

Thanks everyone it seems like I can't go wrong with either one. I was not to sure about the new generation general tire I have looked at a few reviews on line and seen that the ATx wore out in 20000 miles that guy did say he towed heavy trailers dailey which was the only real hesitation one buying the ATx . Cuz like I said on my first post I do tow a camper. But if the ATX is supposed to be better then the AT2 I should be fine cuz I got 50000 out of my AT2 with towing my camper. All the other review were on traction and off road and they did great in the review. So it all comes down to tred life while towing
