Does anyone know the procedure to disable the seat belt chime?

I was able to do this on my 2012 Jeep GC.

Yes, I do use my seat belt but I do not need the annoying warning.

Heres what worked on my 2016:

Seat belt alarm turnoff:
1. With all doors closed and the ignition switch in any
position except On or Start, buckle the driver’s seat belt.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and wait
for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.

3. Within 60 seconds of turning the ignition switch to the
ON position, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver’s
seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending
with the seat belt buckled.
NOTE: Watch for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn on
while unbuckling and off while re-buckling the seat belt.
It may be necessary to retract the seat belt.

4. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. A
single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully
completed the programming.
The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be reactivated
by repeating this procedure.

True, but do you realize the seatbelt chime disable sequence isn’t even listed in the owner’s manual of all things? The book says to take it to your dealer to disable it.

Yes, it will never be listed. The manufacture is not going to be liable for that.

I always wear my seatbelt, and can't even think of why people wouldn't want to. I have mine disabled for offload use or if I am just in my neighborhood.

But if you search google or even better yet, there are videos on it on how to do it. You can literally watch a 2 minute video and go out in the garage/driveway and be done in 5 minutes.

here you go:

It’s always been listed far as I know to my knowledge. My 18’s manual is the first I’ve seen it.

But yes, a quick google search, YouTube search, or even a search here will work wonders but, that’s what we’re all here for.
