Security bypass cable

Wondering if the security bypass cable will work on a 2018 grand cherokee altitude? If so, which one do I get, the 2018 1500 or 2018 2500? I know its not ram related but this seems to be the best resources I can find. I already have AlfaOBD and the dongle from my 2017 ram. Thanks!!!

I have a 2022 Durango R/T. It uses a bypass module rather than the cable that Rams use.

This is the one I use. It works well with both AlfaOBD and Jscan. It also works with my scan tools, but since they are set up with a FCA AutoAuth account, it's moot.

It fits the 2018 and up Durango and Grand Cherokee.

2018+ Security Gateway Bypass Device

This device is required to program 2018 and newer Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM vehicles. Our Bypass Device connects the wires between the security gateway module and the vehicle’s computer. Security is then deactivated, and the OBD Genie can be installed.

AFAIK, the 5th gen 1500s have the SGM behind/beside the OBD2 port, depending on the year.

My '21 Warlock has the SGM behind the radio which makes the KaodTech harness preferable.

He was asking about a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'm pretty sure the module is in the same place on all of the Durangos and Grand Cherokees from 2018 up to the current models. Maybe.
