Hey guys, it's been fun but time to say good bye to the PW. This truck is awesome and I get so many compliments but unfortunately looking to sell it. So took the truck to Carmax today...anyone want to guess what the offer was? Truck is a 2019 with 10.3K miles and an MSRP of $67,935. It also has upgraded tires/wheel and AMP power steps.

I'm guessing they offered you around ~$45k. That's about what the books put it at. The upgrades don't mean much of anything to most so can't count on that adding value, especially on trade.

And MSRP doesn't mean much because nobody pays that, at least I hope they don't.

Tree Fiddy? Lol

I’m curious to know what they offered though. Seems to be a Sellers market at the moment for heavy duty trucks.

48,500 is my guess

Sucks man your truck is super clean.

My guess is $43K.

Trade your wheels and tires for my stock setup plus cash on top? Let me know I'll start the truck up and start heading south...

No doubt they low-balled, it's basically the same as trading in to a dealer. They have to leave room to make a profit when they resell the vehicle. I'm gonna say $42k.

Supply and Demand.

Selling a late model Power Wagon in Houston where the customer's demand for a 4x4 is a miniscule 12% isn't going to get the same price as in Denver where its 72%. I wouldn't be surprised if you got a $5 to $10K higher offer from CarMax up in Colorado.

April 1, 2019.

^ I'm going to disagree with that analogy. "Popularity" is going to mean higher inventory and availability which in turn drives the prices down. I've purchased many trucks in my life and I got one of my best deals (my current truck) in Denver because there are so many to choose from.

4x4's are a dime a dozen in Denver.

The Power Wagons aren't though. I bought mine in Salt Lake City.

Power Wagons are low volume trucks so not a lot of them anywhere. I bought my Power Wagon in Colorado (and traded it there at a big loss a year later)

Either way just trading it in for cash (not trading on a new purchase) is going to be a losing proposition either way.
Probably better of trying to sell it on your own though that has it's frustrations as well

I agree with this. I took my 2013 Evo X to them just for ***** and grins.... offered me 14k.... fuckong thing was built to the teeth over 500WHP.

Carmax is just there to take advantage of people who might not have the best credit. And cant get decent financing at a REAL dealer.

OP - so why you selling the wagon?

I'm guessing the OP discovered financing for 96 months at 19% interest wasn't a good idea.
Now finding out that selling with large amounts of negative equity isn't a good idea either.. .

Oh dang. Who woulda thought? Lol.

Is the 96 months at 19% a joke or what!?!? Good god that's bad lol

I’m going to say 40500$

But you should sell it yourself and hit 45k. Make an add it’s worth your time.
