Could it be that a previous alignment job in the trucks past got botched?

Like in this video?

It's not difficult to think so considering but i'd think i would have gotten the light if the SAS was out of wack before. Granted i've never checked the SAS angle before this ocurrence in the truck. I've done so in my Jeep to help me visualize if making the tie rod longer or shorter moves the steering left or right. I do the whole alighment of my Jeep in the driveway with a tape :) and JScan comes very handy to help with the electronic visuals.

If it helps, I connected to mine and with the steering wheel strait,, it reads pretty much 0. + or - a fraction of a degree.

I'm not familiar with Jscan, I used AlphaOBD and a Innova 7111.

But, im pretty sure when you calibrate the steering angle sensor, it should reset to zero. Yours showing 24 degrees after calibrating it is kinda weird.

Yes zero is what it should read from the factory. My problem was more likely self inflicted because I had to mess with the sensor. Why the reset procedure didn't work I have no idea but It's zero now :)

I'm having similar issue. 213 RAM 1500 Big Horn.
I upgraded my steering and clock spring to heated ones. After reinstall, i get airbag light on. Drove for a while but that did nothing.
NO CEL, but pending codes B0002-13 and B0001-13 Driver frontal squib 1 control circuit open.
Checked with JSCAN for steering angle and first analog data angle sensor reads -9.3 deg and second lower number "sensor offset" reads -4.9 deg.
How do i reset or recalibrate the angle without removing steering and unplugging clock spring? I have Jscan and Alpha OBD?
