Hello everyone! This is my first post I've made on this forum, however, I've spent hours scouring it for answers to what is going on with my 2016 Ram 1500 V6 with 77k miles. I've read quite a few incidents of people having similar problems with the "service electronic throttle control" light but no one has posted what the solution was.
As a carpenter, I use the truck for work, so I was desperate to get it back out on the road as soon as possible. The dealership I took it to has since given me a loaner (basically the same truck) to use in the meantime, but has had my truck for 7 weeks now. They have claimed to have fixed it 4 different times, each time, the light comes back on by the time I pull it into my driveway.
They have replaced the throttle body controller, pnc, brake and gas pedals, and wiring harness. I haven't heard from them in a couple weeks, so I filed a claim directly with Ram. I also haven't heard back from them and am unsure what to do from here, especially since a "ram certified" service center doesn't even know how to fix it.
I'm not in too much of a hurry to get mine back since the truck they gave me as a loaner is brand new, but I am starting to get concerned they're going to just give up and tell me to come get my truck.
Any of you have any advice on what to do from here? Or those of you who have had similar issues... what was the outcome?
Thanks!
